Fridge and freezer disposal is temporarily suspended at county recycling centres. Worcestershire’s household recycling centres are temporarily unable to accept fridges, freezers, and other cooling appliances because of national treatment-capacity constraints. Residents are asked to retain unwanted appliances safely, use a retailer’s take-back service, or employ a licensed waste collector. Previously booked district-council collections will be honoured where possible. Read the County Council update.
Support remains available after the Norton wildfire. Dudley Council’s recovery hub brings together information for residents directly affected by the Norton wildfire, along with official routes for donations, volunteering, and practical support. The page also carries the council’s published resident briefings. Use the official recovery hub.
Free careers help follows GCSE results day. Careers Worcestershire is offering free support through its 16 to 24 Careers Hubs for young people considering further education, training, apprenticeships, or work after receiving GCSE results. See the County Council’s support information.
