After the horrifying scenes in Stourbridge last night, I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathies and well wishes for anyone who’s been impacted, and to those who have lost homes or been injured due to the wildfires.
Stourbridge is our closest neighbour. The fires were walking distance from Hagley. We could see and smell the acrid smoke throughout the afternoon and evening. Seeing such tragedies so close to home reminds us that any one of us can be vulnerable at any given time.
The world is changing. We need to prepare ourselves for what’s to come. Community matters now more than ever.
