High-school applications close on 31 October 2026, while applications for primary, first, infant, junior, and middle schools close on 15 January 2027. Families without internet access can use computers and Wi-Fi at county libraries. <a href="https://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/news/applications-september-2027-school-places-open-1-september-2026">Read the County Council admissions update</a>.</p><p><strong>The district&#8217;s Local Plan scoping consultation closes on Friday.</strong> Bromsgrove District Council is seeking views on the scope, vision, and priorities of the plan to 2044. This stage is not a consultation on specific development sites, and the council says comments made in earlier consultations do not need to be repeated. The fires were walking distance from Hagley. We could see and smell the acrid smoke throughout the afternoon and evening. Seeing such tragedies so close to home reminds us that any one of us can be vulnerable at any given time. </span><br><br><span>The world is changing. We need to prepare ourselves for what&#8217;s to come.
